Talk like you normally would. Changed your mind? Hit Esc and nothing is sent.

Let go. The text is pasted at your cursor, and your clipboard is put back afterwards.

NoType runs on Voxtral, made by Mistral AI in Paris, and is built independently in Europe. It does one thing: you hold a key, talk, and let go. No meeting bots. No "AI workspace". Your recordings are never kept.

How is this different from other AI dictation apps?
Same motion: hold a key, talk, polished text appears. The difference is where it comes from. NoType runs on Mistral AI's models, it's built by an independent European team, it never stores your audio, and Pro will cost $4.99 a month.
Which platforms are supported?
Windows 10 and 11 today. macOS and Linux are on the way.
What happens to my recordings?
Audio goes to the NoType API, which passes it to Mistral for transcription and returns the text. The audio is never saved. History is off by default.
What if I use up my 30 free minutes?
Your allowance resets every month. Pro will offer a larger monthly allowance once it launches.
Which languages can I speak?
Voxtral works best in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Hindi, and detects the language on its own.
